The College Bound Program
Youth selecting the College Bound Program (CBP) at Path Haven seek to enroll and matriculate in a local college or trade school’s academic program. Youth will transition from Path Haven to residing on college campuses, receiving room and board services directly from the college. Costs for room and board are included within tuition.
While housed at Path Haven and prior to transitioning to college living, youth are required to follow house rules, perform chores as instructed, establish a checking account, complete driver’s education, satisfy career assessments and complete five (5) fundamental life skills courses. Courses are free, asynchronous and online, with subjects encompassing college and workforce readiness, dating and marriage, parenting, retirement and farewell arrangements. A certificate for completing each course is awarded to the youth. For lasting community and support, Path Haven will continually engage with transitioned youth through regular communications and correspondences.
