Program Coordinators Support and Care for Youth

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, Program Coordinators monitor all youth activities for a smooth transition to independent adulthood. Program Coordinators provide a mixture of hospitality, care, safety, resources, mentorship, administrative duties and compassion for youth. Each youth is assigned a Program Coordinator. Youth communicate regularly with Program Coordinators to complete all aspects of SIL program requirements while in occupancy at Path Haven. SIL programs include the College Bound Program and the Employment Independency Program. Program Coordinators additionally assist youth with navigating driver’s education, accessing affordable mental health services, performing chores, managing finances and schedules, transferring to other affordable housing units at Path Haven, among other tasks and responsibilities. Program Coordinators provide utmost support to youth, while ensuring youth attain all essentials for independent living.

BUILD YOUR

Path Haven Community

Program Coordinators also assist youth with building strong, stable communities of support. We all need support. However, support systems are crucial to the success of youth who are aging out of foster care and transitioning to adulthood. Family, friends, neighbors, classmates, coworkers, volunteers, church patrons, even pets and vendors, may all play positive supporting roles in helping youth achieve confidence in independent living.
